PACC asks Sandra Cam: Prove corruption allegations in PCSO

The Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) has ordered Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) board member Sandra Cam to submit proof of her corruption allegations.
The anti-corruption body would ask Cam to provide them the documents that prove her claim of corruption in the PCSO, PACC commissioner Greco Belgica told reporters Wednesday.
“She will be allowed to submit the evidences to us, to the President, to the Ombudsman, and we will welcome that,” Belgica said in a media briefing in Malacañang.
“She was the first one to call out corruption in PCSO, if I remember, even long before the President appointed General Manager (Royina) Garma. So we are interested to hear what she has (to say), not to take it as the truth, but to investigate and allow it to go through the process,” he added.
Cam had claimed that high-ranking PCSO officials are involved in corruption, also saying that some board members are tolerating the corrupt practices within the agency.
She also expressed willingness to name the corrupt officials in a legislative inquiry.
“I don’t want to preempt the President in naming these people involved. So I have to wait for the upcoming Senate hearing and I am willing to name them with all the documents I kept,” according to her.
