Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao took time off from his busy schedule to pay a visit to Vice President Jejomar Binay Thursday at the the Coconut Palace Thursday.
Binay had lunch with Pacquiao who was scheduled to fly to the US next week for his upcoming fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Binay said he prayed that the “Pambansang Kamao” would have a successful training.
Binay said that win or lose, Pacquiao would always be an inspiration to the Filipino people.
Binay is taking Pacquiao on his senatorial slate in 2016.
Pacquiao played for Kia Carnival Wednesday while the House was in session.
He was expected to play basketball again Saturday before leaving for his training. Paquiao is tied with Negros Occidental Rep. Jules Ledesma with the fewest attendance among representatives with 7. Pacquiao has been widely criticized for the low priority he gave to Congress but the boxing icon has merely brusjed off these brickbats.
