Pag Marcoses binebeybi! Imelda must be immediately arrested, Colmenares says

Former Bayan Muna Rep. Neri Colmenares urged the Duterte Administration not to accord any special treatment to former First Lady and Ilocos Norte Rep. Imelda Marcos following her graft conviction.
In a statement, Colmenares said the “jail has long been waiting” for the Marcoses and their cronies.
“We call on the authorities to immediately arrest and jail Mrs. Marcos… dapat kagyat na hulihin at arestuhin na ng mga pulis si Imelda ngayon. Kapag mga aktibista at progresibo hinuhuli agad at tinataniman pa ng mga ebidensya o di kaya ay pinapatay pero kapag mga makapangyarihan tulad ng mga Marcoses, binebeybi,” said Colmenares.
The Ilocos Norte solon on Friday was sentenced to prison between six years and one month to 11 years for each of the seven counts of graft for using her previous government position to maintain multiple Swiss bank accounts
Colmenares stressed that Marcos’ conviction for these charges were not even enough considering how she, her late husband and their family plundered our nation amounting to $10 billion.
“Though much delayed, this is still a victory for the nation especially the victims of the reign of plunder and terror by the Marcoses,” said Colmenares, who was imprisoned and tortured during Martial law regime.
