Pahirapan ang laban! Poe leads senatorial race as 7 bets fight for last 4 slots in ‘Magic 12’- Pulse Asia
Seven candidates are fighting for a chance to win the senatorial race in Pulse Asia’s latest voter preference survey, which continues to be dominated by Senator Grace Poe.
Results of the survey conducted from March 23 to 27 nationwide showed Poe in solo first place, with close to 73 percent of respondents saying they will vote for her.
Poe is followed by re-electionist senators Cynthia Villar and Sonny Angara, who’s ranked third to fourth place.
At Angara’s heels is former Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go, with a rank of third to fifth place. He is followed by Taguig City Rep. Pia Cayetano, who is ranked fourth to sixth place, and former senator Lito Lapid, ranked fifth to eight place.
Tied for the sixth to ninth rank are Philippine National Police chief Ronald Dela Rosa and Senator Nancy Binay. They are followed by former senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., who is ranked seventh to 10th place.
Fighting for the remaining places, from ninth to 12th, are the following: Ilocos Norte governor Imee Marcos (ranked 9 to 12), former Presidential Adviser on Political Affairs Francis Tolentino and Jinggoy Estrada (ranked 10 to 16), former senator Serge Osmeña and re-electionist Senators Bam Aquino and Koko Pimentel (all ranked 11 to 16) and former senator Mar Roxas (ranked 11 to 17).
Pulse Asia’s respondents were asked who they would vote for senator if the elections were held during the survey period. They were allowed to choose up to 12 politikos as their preferred candidates.
