The rehabilitation of war-torn Marawi is still on track.
Presidential Spokespeson Salvador Panelo said this after reports cited President Rodrigo Duterte as saying he would leave the Marawi rehab to affluent businessmen.
Panelo clarified that Duterte would not spend for the reconstruction of local establishments in the city.
You have to spend also for that. You cannot rely on us on that. You have to help us kasi ang priority would be the people there, hindi yung negosyong nasira ng mga businessmen kasi may mga pera naman sila eh,” he explained.
Panelo said residents who have lost their homes and injured during the five-month siege will be given priority.
