Malacañang on Sunday denied spreading false and misleading information to advance its agenda.

Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo was reacting to a North Atlantic Treaty Organization study that state-sponsored propaganda in the Philippines leads to “silencing, self-censorship, and chilling effects among dissenters and the public at large.”

Whether saan man manggagaling yan ay fake pa rin yan. Ang gobyerno kailanman ay hindi pumapasok sa fake news,” Panelo said in an interview on dzIQ.

Panelo also refuted allegations that Duterte resorts to intimidation tactics to subvert democratic practices.
