Malacañang dismissed as “wishful thinking” the report by the London-based Capital Economics that more foreign investors will be lured into the Philippines if Vice President Leni Robredo becomes president.

In an interview on Sunday, Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo also crticized the attempt to interfere with the internal affairs of the country.

Panelo claimed foreign investments have increased according to the government’s top economic managers.

“Foreign investment?.. Maling-mali sila dun, definitely. Sinasabi ng economic managers, maganda ang investment natin lalong-lalo na sa foreign,” he said.
