Palace vows accountability in LRT-2 collision

Those behind the Light Railway Transit (LRT)-2 collision incident last May 18 should be held liable, according to Malacanang.

In a media briefing on Monday, Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said President Duterte was “concerned” about the incident that resulted in injuries to 34 people.

“The President is concerned that’s why he’s waiting for the result of the investigation – the whys and the wherefores of the accident,” added Panelo.

On Saturday night, two trains of the LRT-2 collided with each other between between Cubao and Anonas stations in Quezon City.

Light Rail Transit Authority Administrator Reynaldo Berroya has ordered the creation of a Fact-Finding Committee to probe the incident.
