Malacañang has promised that there will be no cover-up in the investigation into the drug involvement of Bureau of Corrections Director-General Nicanor Faeldon’s son.
The Naga City police arrested on Friday Nicanor Faeldon Jr., along with three others, in an anti-illegal drugs operation in Naga City, Camarines Sur.
“We assure that there will be no whitewash on the ongoing investigation in adherence with the Administration’s firm resolve to curb illegal drugs in the country,” Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo told reporters.
Meanwhile, Panelo commended the elder Faeldon for offering to resign from his post if proven that his son is involved in illegal drug activities.
“The Palace likewise commends BuCor chief Faeldon for taking a principled stand of distancing himself from the investigation, for letting police authorities do the job of probing said incident,” the spokesman added.
