Malacañang announced on Wednesday that the Office of the President has added an 8888 short message system (SMS)/text service platform to the 8888 Citizens’ Complaint Center (8888 CCC).

8888 CCC is one of the constituent offices of President Rodrigo Duterte’s Strategic Action and Response Office.

In a statement, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said the 8888 SMS service platform, which was launched last November 3, would “give a boost to the good governance drive of the Duterte administration.”

Citizens can now simply text 8888 from both Globe and Smart and their affiliate telcos and raise their complaints and grievances on various government services, according to Roque.

“Those who are corrupt, lazy, incompetent in the government, be forewarned. You are now one text away,” he added.
