Pamaskong handog: PAO files fresh Dengvaxia raps vs. Duque, Garin
Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) Chief Persida Acosta on Friday (Dec. 13) filed two more criminal complaints against Iloilo 1st District Representative Janette Garin concerning her liability for those who died from the Dengvaxia anti-dengue vaccine.
Acosta the filed the complaints before the Department of Justice (DOJ) on behalf of the families of two dead children, namely, Levon Zirine Santos and Shekina Venice Arciaga.
She noted the two children died after having received three shots each of the vaccine.
The two children are among the 150 dead victims that the PAO forensic team has autopsied.
“Sa january maaring I-file na po namin yung nalalabi sa isang daan limampung patay,” Acosta said.
The two latest complaints named 39 respondents including Garin.
The complaints accused the respondents of reckless imprudence resulting to multiple homicide, violating the Anti-Torture Act, and violating the Consumer Protection Act.
