Malacañang on Thursday warned the public against holding mass protest actions amid the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic.

In a televised briefing, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said only a gathering of 10 people is allowed in general community quarantine areas.

Roque was reacting to the protest rally at Mendiola Manila on Wednesday where hundreds of rallyists condemned the killing of peasant leader Randall “Randy” Echanis, detention of activist Reina Mae Nasino, and the controversial Anti-Terrorism Act of 2020.
