Presidential Spokesperson and Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo blamed the media and the youth group Anakbayan for skipping his initial plan to ride the Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2) to work.
Panelo on Friday morning took the challenge made by militant groups to take public transport from his residence in New Manila, Quezon City to Malacañang Palace in Manila.
He reiterated that he shunned media coverage of his commute because he did not want to make a spectacle of himself.
I don’t want to have a spectale like that,” Panelo said.
