Panelo says oust-Duterte matrix helped foil opposition Senate bids: Sila naman ang nauna!

President Duterte’s release of the ‘ouster plot’ against him contributed to the defeat of Otso Diretso senatorial candidates in the May midterm polls, Malacanang said.
“You must remember na yung black proganada against the President and the Administration naunang lumabas yun,” Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo noted referring to the video series entitled “Ang Totoong Narcolist” which linked Duterte’s family to the narcotics trade.
“Then nailabas ni Presidente yung matrix. Palagay ko napagaralan ng tao kung sino ang nagsasabi ng totoo o hindi,” Panelo added.
The so-called matrix alleged veteran journalists from Vera Files, Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism, and Rappler were conniving with the National Union of People’s Lawyers to destabilize the Duterte administration. The President later claimed Senator Antonio Trillanes IV’s Magdalo group and other opposition allies were behind the production of “Bikoy” videos.
Panelo recalled, in 2016, Trillanes also initiated a “black propaganda” against then presidential candidate Duterte, challenging the latter to open his supposed bank records.
“I recall three years ago, di ba si renegade military na naging senador ay naglabas din ng kanyang black propagdanda kay Presidente dun sa BPI few days before the election? Wala ring nangyari e. Hindi rin naniwala sa kanya. Ganun din ang nangyari ngayon,” he added.
