Para ring nakakulong! Bikoy nixes placement in Witness Protection Program
Peter Joemel Advincula alias Bikoy feels like being a prisoner if he places himself under the Witness Protection Program (WPP).
Because of this, Advincula won’t let himself be placed under the WPP, his legal counsel, lawyer Larry Gadon, said on Monday (Feb. 17).
“Hindi na sya mag WPP. Ayaw nya. But willing mag-state witness,” the lawyer revealed.
“Ayaw na daw nya mag WPP kasi very restricted, wala daw freedom and liberty. Parang preso rin,” he pointed out.
Earlier, state prosecutors led by Senior Assistant State Prosecutor Olivia Torrevillas revealed that they remain unsure if they wanted to drop charges against Advincula and turn him into a state witness.
Advincula is facing before the Quezon City Metropolitan Trial Court (MeTC) a case of conspiracy to commit sedition.
His co-accused are former senator Antonio Trillanes IV, Police Sr. Supt. Eduardo Acierto, Peter Joemel Advincula alias Bikoy, Joel Saracho, Jonnel Sangalang, Yolanda Villanueva Ong, Vicente Romano III, Fr. Flaviano Villanueva, and Fr. Albert Alejo.
The case stemmed from the “Ang Totoong Narcolist” which featured the hooded Bikoy, who was later revealed to be Advincula, which accused Duterte family members as being involved the narcotics trade.
In the information filed before the QC MeTC, the defendants are accused of having wronged President Rodrigo Duterte ”by circulating malicious and scurrilous libels and fabricating evidence against him and his immediate family members, making it appear that the President and his family are engaged in a drug trade syndicate, with no other purpose but to inflict an act of hate or revenge against the President of the Philippines and his immediate family members.”
