Parking Building, A Demolition Job

Instead of summoning to the Senate her father, Vice President Jejomar Binay, for an investigation over his alleged involvement in the construction of an overpriced “parking building” of Makati City Hall, Sen. Nancy Binay yesterday dared her colleagues to instead have the House file an impeachment complaint to prove if indeed they have a case against him. The Daily Tribune

The senator pointed to the apparent “demolition” job now being carried out against the Vice President by those known adversaries of the latter. The Daily Tribune

“I’m not familiar with the Senate rules but what I know is that a Vice President is an impeachable officer. So the hearing is for what purpose? In aid of legislation or is there a stain of corruption involved in that hearing? I think the correct process is for him to have his House allies to file an impeachment complaint against the Vice President,” she said in an interview with reporters. The Daily Tribune
