Pasalamat tayo: Marcos rejected calls to bomb EDSA, Radyo Veritas during ’86 revolt – Imee

The 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution was a bloodless revolt partly due to then President Ferdinand Marcos’ decision not to be trigger-happy leader.

Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos said she remembers her father during the EDSA anniversary and how he refused to heed clamor to bomb EDSA and the Radyo Veritas tower out of love for Filipinos.

Sabi niya PILIPINO ang mga iyan,” the lady governor said.
