PDEA ignores tip on 2 container vans with P60B shabu as BOC claims these are filled with ukay- ukay – Tulfo
Special envoy to China Mon Tulfo claims that two 40-foot containers with P60 billion worth of shabu under the noses of the Bureau of Customs.
Tulfo claimed that the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) has been tipped but refused to take action on the alleged massive drug haul which entered the country nine months ago.
“The vans arrived at the Manila International Container Port (MICP) from China last January and have not been taken out of the customs zone until now. My informers say their consignees are ‘waiting for the right time’ to take the shipments out of customs,” said Tulfo in his Manila Times column.
He identified the container vans as Wanhai No. WHLU5559440 and Evergreen No. EGHU9193449.
“Bureau of Customs officials were informed about the suspected containers, but they told my informers that the vans contained ukay-ukay (used clothing). My informers estimate the value of the two shabu shipments at P60 billion,” Tulfo said.
