Justice Undersecretary Markk Perete said on Thursday (Oct. 1) that he is resigning.
“After much thought, I have decided to submit my resignation from the DOJ effective today due to serious reasons,” Perete told reporters on Thursday.
Perete made gave no more details as to why he decided to resign from his post.
He has been at the undersecretary at the Department of Justice (DOJ) since 2018 when he was brought in by Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra.
Prior his appointment, Perete was working in Malacanang’s Legal Affairs as technical assistant with the rank of assistant secretary.
