Senator Grace Poe says a candidate’s character or personality is more important than one’s educational attainment.
This is Poe’s response to queries on her position on the proposal to require a college degree from candidates gunning for a Senate seat.
She said what is important is for the people to have the opportunity to know and scrutinize the candidate.
Poe also said that the Philippines is a democracy , and you cannot say that only college graduates can seek elective positions, because everyone should be represented.
