A former member of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KJC) church filed rape, human trafficking and child abuse charges against Pastor Apollo Quiboloy for allegedly taking advantage of her as a teenager.

Blenda Sanchez Portugal, 22, filed the complaint against Quiboloy before the Office of the City Prosecutor in Davao City Thursday (December 19).

Named as Quiboloy’s co-accused were KJC members Jackielyn Roy, Cresente Canada, Pauline Canada, Ingrid Canada and Sylvia Cemañes.

Portugal claimed in her sworn statement that she was subject to forced labor and sexual abuse as a member “full time miracle worker” of KJC as a 12-year-old girl.

She said her first sexual encounter with Quiboloy happened in 2014, when she was staying at a dormitory inside KJC’s compound in Davao City.

Portugal said she was instructed by one “Ate Jack” to go to Quiboloy’s room late at night.

“Ate Jack gave me few advices like she told me, ‘Blenda, connection mo ito sa Amahan. Privilege na mapabilang sa Pastoral. I-sanctify mo sarili mo,’” she recalled.

Portugal said she was instructed to massage Quiboloy in his room while the pastor was sleeping.

Minutes into massaging Quiboloy, Portugal said the pastor woke up and instructed her to lie down.

“When I already lied down, Pastor Quiboloy went on top of me. He began rubbing his organ against mine even when we were still both in pajamas and he started kissing my neck,” she said.

“I became very stiff and I wanted to question what he was doing, but I remember what Ate Jack said that I should not be allowed to ask questions,” Portugal added.

The complainant said Quiboloy told her to sleep beside him after they had sex. She was instructed to return to her room inside the dormitory the morning afterwards.

Portugal said she was able to escape from KJC in May 2016 after calling her mother for help.

She said she asked her mother to help her fly to Manila since she already had enough of the abuses she allegedly suffered in the hands of Quiboloy and KJC.
