Poe endorses Serge Osmeña, Hilbay for senator: Lodi ko sila!
Senator Grace Poe may be running for re-election, but she’s also supportive of other senatorial bets who she also wants to win in the May midterm polls.
Poe on Tuesday (February 5) mentioned former senator Serge Osmeña and former Solicitor General Florin Hilbay as two of the senatorial candidates she is endorsing.
She described Osmeña as her “mentor” nd said they would be campaigning together in some areas.
Pressed on the names of other senatorial candidates she is supporting, Poe said: “I don’t wanna hurt the feelings of others if I don’t mention their names but I hope I will be forgiven if I base it on certain things they have done. For example, Florin Hilbay. I think he was the OSG (Office of Solicitor General) at the time.”
The senator, who has consistently topped pre-election voter preference surveys, said she does not want to mention her other bets because she might hurt some people’s feelings.
Despite the assurance of winning her re-election bid based on survey results, Poe said she’s still “running scared.”
“[While] it’s good to be number one, the challenge is also there to be able to maintain that and there are a lot of viable and very popular candidates in this race,” she said.
