Political strategist Malou Tiquia assumes post as Universidad de Manila’s new president
Veteran political strategist Malou Tiquia has taken on a new job as Universidad de Manila’s new president.
A photo shared by the Manila Public Information Office showed Tiquia taking her oath before Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.
Tiquia replaces Ernesto Maceda Jr., who tendered his courtesy resignation.
Moreno told ABS-CBN News that Tiquia was chosen to “rebrand” UdM.
“What is happening now is UdM is competing with Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM), and ironically, both of them are owned by the city government,” he said.
Tiquia is the founder of PUBLiCUS Asia, the first and only registered lobbying and campaigns management firm in the country.
