CATARMAN, Northern Samar – Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte’s Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) party has prohibited local allies included in the latest narco-list disclosed by Malacañang.
In an ambush interview after the kick-off of HNP’s Visayas caravan in Catarman, Northern Samar, Mayor Duterte disclosed that top party officials recently talked about how to deal with local partners in their future campaign sorties especially they have candidates included in the drug list.
“It is a matter that idi-discuss with our local host and our local partners because yun namang nasa narco-list na allied sa kanila are candidates also but defiitely they will not be allowed to speak sa stage,” said Mayor Duterte.
The Presidential daughter stressed that upon checking their database, no local partners or upcoming hosts were included in the narco-list. They discovered though that a couple of local candidates allied with HNP’s local partners were listed in the drug list.
“What we did immediately nung ni-release ni President Duterte yung narco-list (is that) we checked kung meron kaming local hosts, local partners na nasa narcolist and upon checking wala naman kaming nakita doon but we found local candidates who are allied with local partners na nasa narco-list,” the HNP chair explained.
“Meron kaming mga nakita doon na allied with our local partners so nandoon sila either kasama nila sa province as a candidate or candidate ng local slate nila so merong mga ganung instances pero wala kaming nakita doon na local partner namin na nasa narco-list,” the Presidential daughter added.
Earlier, the Davao City mayor said she will “never turn down politicians who would publicly request her to raise their hands.”
