Proud lolo moment! Duterte attends Isabelle’s graduation from San Beda

President Duterte was the picture of a doting grandfather when he attended the graduation of his granddaughter, Isabelle, from San Beda Senior High School Thursday (May 17).

Duterte showed up with Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go at the Philippine International Cultural Center in Pasay City close to 10 a.m. for the graduation rites.

The President waited at the other end of the stage when it was Isabelle’s turn to receive her diploma. He was seen giving his apo a tight hug and kisses afterwards.

Isabelle, the daughter of former Davao City vice mayor Paolo “Pulong” Duterte, was among the first batch of senior high school graduates of San Beda College Alabang.

She graduated with academic strands in Humanities and Social Sciences.

On her Instagram account, Isabelle posted a “story” showing her with Duterte, her mother Lovelie Sangkola-Sumera, and brother.

The President’s son wasn’t in the photo.

Isabelle’s contentious relationship with her father hasn’t been a secret since they quarreled on social media in December last year.

In a lengthy Facebook post, Pulong berated Isabelle for allowing herself to be “pimped” by an unknown person.

Pulong’s rant appeared to be a response to Isabelle’s tweets in which she complained about how her father “fucks up my Christmas every year.”

The former vice mayor did not attend Isabelle’s lavish debut in Makati City last January.
