President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday thanked the St. Luke’s Medical Center (SLMC) for supporting the government’s mass-inoculation program.
This, after National Policy Against Covid-19 chief implementer and vaccine czar Sec. Carlito Galvez Jr. reported that SLMC asked for 5,000 doses of Sinovac vaccine for its medical workers in Quezon City and Taguig City.
“We appreciate any and every cooperation na offered to us at this time. Kung kasali ang St. Luke’s ,then, papasalamat tayo,” Duterte said in his televised address.
“They can always help spread really the vaccine as fast as it can be accommodated by the time and motion of a human being,” he added.
The government launched its Covid-19 vaccination drive Monday morning with the first 600,000 doses of the donated Chinese vaccine CoronaVac in several hospitals in Metro Manila.
