Vice President Leni Robredo will go on self-quarantine for the second time after a member of her close-in security team tested positive for COVID-19.
Robredo said she was supposed to leave for Bicol Saturday (April 17) when she found out that about the diagnosis for her close-in security.
“I was all set to go. But just a few minutes ago, I received a contact tracing call informing me that my close-in security has tested positive,” she said.
Robredo said she was a close contact of her close-in security since they’re together the entire week.
“I was with him in the car, in the elevator, and in the office almost everyday this week. We have regular surveillance antigen testing in the office and we do follow very strict health protocols but because I was a very close contact, I need to do the required quarantine and do an rt-pcr test after my quarantine,” she explained.
Robredo also had to go on self-quarantine in October last year after a member of her staff tested positive for COVID-19. She did not contract the virus.
