Puro kasinungalingan! De Lima refutes Bikoy’s allegations
Senator Leila De Lima has denied any involvement in the “Ang Totoong Narcolist” video series.
“First of all, the Complaint is bereft of any allegations made against me in the Complaint, and the evidence submitted to support it, i.e., the Sinumpaang Salaysay of Peter Joemel D. Advincula dated 18 July 2019,” read her counter-affidavit.
De Lima submitted the counter-affidavit in response to the complaint lodged against her and fellow opposition members concerning the video series which features the hooded Bikoy.
The video series accused a number of personalities including members of the Duterte family as being involved in the narcotics trade.
The Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG), which filed the complaint before the Department of Justice (DOJ), said Advincula who admitted being Bikoy revealed the videos series is part of the destabilization plot against President Rodrigo Duterte under “Project Sodoma.”
However, De Lima said “the Complaint shows that it is bereft of any specific imputation against me.”
She added she could not have participated in any plot against Duterte considering she has been “under the physical custody of the PNP itself.”
De Lima is currently detained at the Custodial Center of the PNP in Camp Crame since February 24, 2017 due to the drug charges she is facing before the Muntinlupa regional trial court.
Though Advincula mentioned in his sworn statement her chief of staff Atty. Philip Sawali, De Lima said she has “no personal knowledge of his (Sawali) dealings with others and vice versa.”
