Netizens couldn’t help but be amused at Kingdom of Jesus Christ founder Apollo Quiboloy after he claimed to have stopped the magnitude 6.6 earthquake which rocked parts of Mindanao on October 29.

On the October 30 episode of his television show, “Give Us This Day,” Quiboloy shared that he was in a coffee shop in Samal when the earthquake occurred.

“Sabi ko, ‘Lindol, huminto ka.’ Huminto,” he recalled. “Pasalamat kayo sa akin kasi kung hindi ko pina-stop ‘yun, marami kayong magigiba diyan, mamamatay kayo.”

Quiboloy said he was prompted to share what he did after some people cast doubt he was indeed the “Appointed Son of God.”

“Hindi ko sinabi ito ng walang witness ha. May witness, marami, nakapalibot sakin,” he said.

The parody Twitter account @PANGINOON, which translates to “god” in English, tweeted: “OFFICIAL STATEMENT: Wala po akong appointed son. ”
