Recto to Duterte: Focus on typhoon Neneng, not political storm
Senator Ralph Recto has called on the Duterte administration to prepare contingency measures to deal with the approaching super typhoon instead of dwelling on “political storms.”
Recto, in a Facebook post, said the impending natural calamity could damage farmlands and render farm-to-market roads impassable, and might worsen the country’s problems on high food prices.
“Government should brace for typhoon Neneng instead of being focused on political storms,” the senator said.
“We are already reeling from the man-made calamity that is inflation and high prices of goods. A natural calamity like a typhoon has the potential of exacerbating our problems exponentially,” he said.
