Relax! Evasco says Duterte needs a break like other people

Cabinet Secretary has assured the public there’s no cause for concern regarding President Rodrigo Duterte’s state of health.

“He’s alright. He’s fine,” he told reporters in an interview after attending a public hearing on rice importation at the Senate Wednesday (June 14).

“Each one of us needs to relax, including the President,” Evasco said.

The Cabinet official, however, said he has no idea if the President will be out of the public eye for the entire week.

“I don’t have any idea. I am in my office and he is in his office,” he said.

Speculation on Duterte’s health surfaced after he skipped Independence Day rites at Luneta on Monday (June 12). He has not been seen in public for the past three days.

Presidential spokesperson Ernesto Abella has assured the public that Duterte has no health issues and was just resting.
