Rappler Chief Executive Officer Maria Ressa has accused former Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go of “throwing” money and power in his bid to be elected as senator.

Bong Go chides unnamed Duterte critic: Lakas makabanat banyaga naman!

Ressa made the allegation in a tweet posted Monday (February 18) as she dared Go to attend fora for senatorial candidates.

“Siguro po kailangan umattend naman si @sap_bong_go ng mga forums para hindi lang pera at power ang tinatapon niya sa eleksiyon. You’re invited to @rapplerdotcom’s election forum on March 4. Hope to see you there. Respectfully,” she tweeted.

Ressa’s tweet followed an earlier post where she insisted she is a Filipino since she holds dual citizenship.

The former CNN reporter’s Twitter rant was prompted by a cryptic tweet from Go, who said: “May mga taong galit o ayaw sa ating Pangulong Duterte, ang problema hindi naman Pilipino ang nakalagay sa Pasaporte nito.”

After Ressa declared she was a Filipino citizen, Go made it clear he wasn’t referring to anyone in particular in previous tweet.

“May guilty po yata. Wala naman akong pangalan binanggit. Again…Dili lang gud ta mangasuko. Smile,” he said.
