Vice President Leni Robredo advised her rival, former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., against running in the 2022 elections if he still can’t accept that he lost to her.
Marcos has a pending protest against Robredo before the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET).
In an interview over GMA’s “Unang Hirit” Monday (January 20), Robredo said politikos should be able to accept the outcome of elections
“Dapat lahat na tatakbo, tatanggapin iyong resulta ng eleksyon. Kasi kung matatalo ka, hindi mo tatanggapin, eh huwag ka nang tumakbo,” she said.
Marcos announced earlier this month that he plans to run for national office in the next elections.
However, he was coy about the position he wants to run for, saying he would still have to decide on the matter.
