Robredo cheers on UP in rival Ateneo section: Naubos boses ko kaka-cheer!
Vice President Leni Robredo was the main cheerleader of the UP Fighting Maroons even though she was seated in rival Ateneo Blue Eagles’ section during a recent championship game.
Robredo, a UP alumnae, managed to score a free ticket at the UAAP basketball finals from her Ateneo-bred daughters but found out later her seat was on the opposite side of her alma matter.
“This is the first time UP fought Ateneo in the finals so first time also for me to be on the opposite side of the fence. They asked me to join them for Game 2 because they said they were able to source 3 tickets. Should have known, they were on the Ateneo side😊 So I was shouting UP Fight while almost everyone in our section was shouting One Big Fight!
Nevertheless, the veep cheered loud and proud for the Fighting Maroons, and later congratulated ADMU for the “great game.”
“Truly Proud of our UP Maroons who put up a really remarkable fight. Naubos boses ko kaka cheer😊”
“All my girls Aika Tricia Jillian are true Ateneo fans and watching the UAAP games has always been a family thing especially when Jess was still alive,” she said.
