Robredo fed up with fake news about her: ‘Di ko na palalampasin ang kasinungalingan!
Vice President Leni Robredo is becoming more vocal on calling out those who spread fake news about her after staying silent for more than two years.
In an interview over GMA’s “Unang Hirit” Monday (January 20), Robredo said she learned to speak up after realizing her silence only leads the public to believe falsehoods said about her.
“Mga middle of last year, o late last year, sinabi ko na lahat na nakikita kong kasinungalingan, iko-call ko na iyong attention. Kaya iyong lahat, Igan, na friends ko sa Facebook, makikita na every time may makikita akong kasinungalingan on Facebook, pino-post ko,” she said.
Robredo recently slammed Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) deputy executive director Mocha Uson for claiming the Office of the Vice President only gave pan de sal and bottled water to evacuees in Batangas.
The Vice President had said Uson should not be allowed to get away with spreading fake news because her salary comes from public funds.
Robredo said she felt correcting Uson was already enough.
“Ayaw ko nang pahabain pa, kasi hindi naman nakakatulong. Tama na na alam ng tao na nagsinungaling siya, para next time, mayroon nang warning na hindi ko papalampasin,” she said.
