Robredo LOLs at Bongbong’s claim he’s ‘robbed’ of being VP: Between us, I ain’t the robber!
Vice President Leni Robredo has scoffed at the claim of former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. that he has been “robbed” of the vice presidency because he was allegedly cheated in the 2016 elections.
Robredo took a swipe at Marcos Tuesday (October 15), saying she was never hounded by allegations of lying or cheating to achieve her goals.
“Between the two of us, parang hindi yata ako ang may ugaling mag-rob. Between the two of us, lahat ng na-achieve ko pinagpaguran ko. Wala akong fake diplomas, wala akong anything. Hindi ako naglalabas ng fake news,” she said in a press conference after the Supreme Court, sitting as the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET), deferred issuing a ruling on the results of the initial vote recount.
“Parang dapat… dapat hindi niya kaya iyon sabihin kasi between the two of us, alam ko hindi ako iyong robber,” Robredo added.
Ahead of Robredo’s press conference, Marcos told reporters that he felt “robbed” of the chance to become vice president.
‘By conducting the cheating in the election, they robbed the proper Vice-President who won the election, myself, from the three years of service,” he said.
In an anti-climactic move, the PET ruled to give the camps of Marcos and Robredo copies of the results of the recount of the ballots in the provinces of Camarines Sur, Iloilo and Negros Oriental.
These were the pilot provinces identified by Marcos where he wanted votes to be recovered or counted again as part of his poll protest.
