Vice President Leni Robredo said Sunday (November 22) she won’t “stoop down” to the level of administration allies who have been attacking her and her daughters non-stop in recent days.
In her radio show, “Biserbisyong Leni,” Robredo slammed supporters of President Rodrigo Duterte whom she said have been spreading fake news against her. She said she reports misleading information to authorities.
“Hindi ako magstu-stoop down sa level nila. Hindi ako magstu-stoop down sa kabastusan. Makikita mo naman, Ka Ely, pare-pareho. Iyong magkakakampi, pareho iyong mga values. Magkakasama, lahat bastos. Magkakasama, mga sinungaling,” Robredo said.
While the Vice President claimed she’s unaffected by fake news, she said it is her duty to call out those who spread lies about er.
“Hindi ko pag-aaksayahan ng panahon, Ka Ely na paulit-ulit, dedepensahan iyong sarili ko. Kasi ako, kapag sinabi kong eto iyong mali, ito iyong totoo, tapos na iyon,” she said.
Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo recently accused Robredo of using a government plane when she visited Catanduanes for relief efforts. Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, however, clarified the Vice President didn’t use any military plane for her trip and apologized to her.
Duterte also recently lashed out at Robredo for supposedly claiming he was missing in action at the height of Typhoon Ulysses.
