Robredo tells Duterte: Tama na salita! Magtrabaho ka na lang
Vice President Leni Robredo has urged President Rodrigo Duterte to work on solving the country’s problems after he called her “weak.”
In a statement Friday (October 5), Robredo said Duterte’s alleged ailment is not an excuse for him to attack her.
Robredo blamed Duterte’s decisions for the rising prices of basic goods, the lower quality of life perceived by Filipinos, and the deaths of “thousands” of drug suspects.
She said the President should fulfill his mandate and work.
Duterte on Thursday (October 4) bashed Robredo as he maintained that neither the “Yellows”– or people linked to the Liberal Party– nor the Reds could take over the government.
“I do not mean to offend the lady. She’s very good. She’s gentle. Mahina sa diskarte,” he said before members of the Philippine Military Academy Alumni Association.
“So why would I give it to the left? Why would I give it to the yellow? Kayong mga ano dito na mga Reds hindi man — hindi man ako,” Duterte added.
