Vice President Leni Robredo is hopeful about the implementation of the anti-drug campaign following the cooperation extended by concerned agencies.

Robredo met with the members of the Inter Agency Committee on Anti- Illegal Drugs (ICAD) and thanked them for their cooperation during their first meeting since she accepted her post as new drug czar.

Among the officials present in the meeting at Robredo’s office in Quezon City were Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency head Aaron Aquino, Dangerous Drugs Board chair Catalino Uy, and Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Año.

“1st meeting with ICAD, where we looked into the gains and gaps of the anti-drug campaign. Salamat kay Dir. Gen. Aquino at sa mga ahensya na nakasama natin,” she tweeted.

“Despite the circumstances, your cooperation makes me hopeful as we take on our shared objective to combat illegal drugs,” said Robredo, the new co-chairperson of ICAD.
