Vice President Leni Robredo has urged Filipinos to keep a close eye on the establishment of the new Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) as she hailed the ratification of the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL.
In a statement Friday (January 25), Robredo said the fight for peace does not end with the BOL’s ratification.

In a historic vote, a total of 1,540,017 voters from the current Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) approved of ratifying the law that will create the new region. Cotabato City likewise voted to be included.
Robredo said the Mindanaoans’ overwhelming support for the BOL showed peace and prosperity are within reach of the Bangsamoro region.
“Buong-buo ang aking pananalig na kapayapaan ang magdadala sa bawat mamamayan ng Bangsamoro ng magandang buhay,” she said.
