Roque on Duterte’s offer: Wala pa nga EO ang opisina ko!

Secretary Harry Roque Jr. on Friday expressed his frustration with the absence of an executive order creating the position of presidential spokesperson.
“I’m already a year as spokesperson I do not have an executive order creating the position of the Office of the Spokesperson,” Roque said in a press briefing.
The official also said he could not say whether to accept President Rodrigo Duterte’s new job offer.
“So in making a decision on what to do – it’s difficult to actually consider a position that currently does not exist, and the track record that I have served for a year with no Executive Order. So as I said, I am a Christian, I pray and for my fellow Christian – Secretary Alan (Peter Cayetano) who said I should look for an objective sign – I’m reading everything as part of an objective sign,” he said.
Roque said he needs the weekend to take some time to himself.
On whether he will remain as spokesperson or join the senatorial contest next year, the Palace official said: “Let’s just say Monday we’ll find about my plans finally.”
