Roque questions Nancy Binay’s performance: Ano bang naipasa mo?

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque Jr. on Tuesday questioned the qualification of re-electionist senator Nancy Binay for the national post.
This came a day after Roque, a known ally of former vice president Jejomar Binay, said the Senate has become a contest between children of politicians and popular candidates.
“I’m not sure what she’s passed. I love her, but I am not sure what she’s passed. That’s the truth. I love the Binays, but what has she passed?” the official said in an interview on ANC.
“‘Di ba totoo naman na it’s the old names that are still high up in the survey list. And the question is ano ba talaga ang nagawa nila? ano ang legislative records nila? Pakitanong nga,” he added, referring to the latest Pulse Asia survey on senatorial preferences where re-electionist senators and former senators dominated the list.
In 2016, Roque initially planned to run for senator under the slate of Binay’s political party, the United Nationalist Alliance. He, however, dropped his Senate bid and aimed instead for a congressional seat as the first nominee of the party-list Kabayan.
The former University of the Philippines law professor also defended the ex-vice president Binay against the freeze order issued by the Anti-Money Laundering Council on his assets.
