Russia here we come! 15 Cabinet members, other lawmakers join Duterte’s foreign trip
Several Cabinet members and other pro-administration politikos are out of the country for a week to join President Duterte’s second visit to Russia.
Fifteen Cabinet members led by Executive Secretary Medialdea are included in the President’s official delegation to Moscow.
Apart from Medialdea, Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr., Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III, Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez, Agriculture Secretary William Dar, Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III, Delfin Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, Environment Secretary Roy Cimatu, Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Año, Science and Technology Secretary Fortunato dela Peña, Energy Secretary Cusi, National Security Adviser Hermogenes Esperon Jr., Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles, Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar, and Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo are joining the President’s latest foreign visit.
Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra has been designated as officer-in-charge while the President is abroad from October 1 to October 6.
Meantime, House Speaker Alan Cayetano, Majority Leader Martin Romualdez, Deputy Speaker Luis Raymund Villafuerte Jr., Biñan City, Laguna Len Alonte, Eastern Samar Rep. Ben Evardone, and other administration politikos have been spotted aboard the chartered Philippine Airlines flight to Moscow based on photos shared online.
“Honoured and privileged to be part of the Official Delegation to the State Visit to Russia headed by our hardworking President #du30👊 and Senator @sapbonggo . Improving #philippines🇵🇭 and #Russia 🇷🇺 relations #villa40✌️,” Villafuerte wrote on Instagram.
Evardone also shared a snap with Duterte with the caption: “On board with President Duterte to Moscow.”
The President’s aide-turned-senator Bong Go and newly Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Mocha Uson are also accompanying the President to his visit to Russia this week.
