Sa Davao lang s’ya! Duterte not traveling abroad: Palace

President Rodrigo Duterte will just rest at home in Davao City and is not planning to travel abroad, Malacañang said.
“Ang pagkakaalam ko, hindi siya magbabakasyon sa ibang lugar. Ang alam ko diyan lang sa Davao ang trabaho niya,” said Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo.
Asked if Duterte will be working from Davao indefinitely, Panelo told reporters: “Not indefinitely. Hindi natin alam kung indefinite o for a certain number. Kasi sinabi niya doon muna siya for a while. It could be one day, two days, three days, hindi natin alam.”
The spokesman previously said the President would take a break from work for three days beginning Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Panelo explained that Duterte decided to work from home to reduce his workload.
“Eh siguro, mas less kasi. ‘Pag Davao, less ang work kaysa dito. Dito talagang… hindi ba ang daming mga courtesy calls, may mga events. Eh doon medyo hindi masyado – at kung mayroon man, eh ang lapit from the house to… a few minutes. Hindi kagaya rito, lilipad ka pa, mata-traffic ka pa,” he said.
