Saan nagpunta? BI tracking down relatives of Chinese man infected by Wuhan coronavirus
Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra said on Thursday (Jan. 23) that the Bureau of Immigration (BI) is helping track down the family of Chinese national who got infected with the coronavirus.
“BI has informed me that they are now identifying this family from Wuhan and tracking their whereabouts in the country,” he said.
The Hong Kong Ministry of Health said the Wuhan tourist entered Hong Kong via speed train last Tuesday (Jan. 21).
The Chinese man was stopped at the border after he was detected of having fever and was confirmed to be the first case of the coronavirus strain in Hong Kong.
However, the Hong Kong Ministry of Health said his family managed to get a flight to Manila via Cebu Pacific and arrived on Wednesday (Jan. 22).
