Saksakan ng ka-cheapan! SEA Games organizers welcome foreign athletes with printout at NAIA
The organizers of the 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games can’t afford to give foreign athletes a proper welcome despite the billions of pesos spent on the event.
Netizens are bashing the cheap looking “welcome” printout for SEA Games delegates at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
The printout, which was put on a counter at NAIA, read: “WELCOME SEA GAMES ATHLETES.”
Twitter user @cocomarwin said the organizeds shouldn’t have put the printout at all because it was “embarrassing.”
“Nakakahiya. Sana di nalang nila nilagay yan,” he said.
Netizen @ChizMijares agreed: “Yan na ba ung sinasabi ng PSC at SEA Games Organizing Committee na 100% PREPARED na? This is an embarrassment!”
Twitter user @laizam92 said the printout showed how prepared the Philippines was in welcoming foreign athletes.
“Oh wow!!! Sobrang effort!,” he tweeted.
Thousands of athletes from Southeast Asian countries are expected to fly to the Philippines in the coming weeks for the SEA Games, which will start on November 30.
