MATI CITY, Davao Oriental – Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte believed that the presidency is not an easy task, saying it involves the “work of a mayor magnified one million times.”

The Presidential daughter issued the statement after her father, President Rodrigo Duterte said it was unlikely she would run for president.

“It’s not easy. It consumes the whole of your life and the whole of your time, days and nights,” said Mayor Duterte.

Mayor Duterte believed that her father doesn’t want her to endure the burden he is facing right now amid challenges of the presidency.

“Kasi siguro, bakit niya nasabi na ayaw niya? Kasi siguro alam niya kung gaano kahirap ang trabaho ng isang president… ang tingin ko kasi alam niya kung gaano kahirap yung trabaho niya,” the Davao City Mayor said.

Mayor Duterte reiterated she has no plans to seek the presidency, saying she wants to finish her three terms as local chief executive of Davao City.

“Wala din naman na sa aking mga plan yun. Ang plans ko lang talaga is to finish my three terms as mayor of Davao City and then trabaho for anti-child abuse na mga projects ng Davao City,” she said.
