Mobile courts may be deployed to Midsayap, North Cotabato so that courts there will be able to remain open despite damages to infrastructures caused by the recent earthquakes, said Court Administrator Midas Marquez.

“We’re considering sending yung mga justice on wheels para gawin nilang temporary courtrooms habang naghahanap tayo ng permanent courtrooms,” he said.

“Some of the buses natin, ipapadala natin doon,” he added.

Marquez said he will also ask the local government unit (LGU) if it can spare some buildings where court rooms can temporarily be housed.

“We coordinated with the LGU if they can allow us to use some of their buildings na maaari pang gamitin,” he said.

Earlier, the Supreme Court (SC) reported that the Midsayap hall of justice was severely damaged because of the earthquakes.

Because of this, the hall of justice had to be vacated and will not a total rehabilitation.
