Short and personal: Duterte’s SONA won’t exceed 35 minutes – Roque
President Duterte’s third and possibly “last” State of the Nation Address (SONA) will not be lengthy as his first two speeches.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said the President himself announced this during Monday’s Cabinet meeting in Malacanang.
“I will read my SONA speech which should not be more than 35 minutes,” Roque, quoting the President, said in twitter account.
Such will be a departure his previous speeches, his second SONA took two hours while the first lasted beyond an hour and 30 minutes which was the longest delivered SONA recorded after the 1986 EDSA Revolution.
There’s no assurance if the President will stick to his plan to read his speech or deliver his usual jokes and impromptu remarks.
