Avid listeners of DZMM will not be hearing Noli De Castro, Ted Failon and other veteran anchors on Thursday (April 2) as the radio station will go off the air for disinfection.
Politiko learned that DZMM’s operations are temporarily suspended so the entire station can be sanitized after Interior Secretary Eduardo Año appeared as a guest in one of its programs on March 28.
Año announced Monday (March 31) that he tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
DZMM already scaled down operations Wednesday (April 1), with re-runs of ABS-CBN’s popular public affairs shows being aired on the Teleradyo channel starting in the afternoon instead of scheduled programs, such as “Dos Por Dos” with Anthony Taberna and Gerry Baja, and S.R.O. with Doris Bigornia and Alvin Elchico.
